For Self-Reviewers

The purpose of a yearly self-review is for the faculty to provide ratings as well as justification for those ratings for the job responsibilities within that performance cycle.

Depending on the faculty member’s roles and responsibilities, they may have three or four main categories in their performance review. The main categories are listed below:

  • Teaching

  • Scholarship/Creative

  • Service

  • Administrative (if the faculty member has an administrative role)

Prior to the release of the self-review, the Deans and Program Directors assign weighting percentages for each category to each individual faculty member.

In addition to the above categories, all faculty are assigned 15% of their review for university global competencies.

As faculty review and rate themselves, they should reference goals they have completed during the performance cycle. This can be done through the narrative field given below each rating.
